Who needs a fancy oven when you can make a delicious, crispy cheese pizza right on your stovetop? This Frying Pan Cheese Pizza is quick, easy, and oh-so-cheesy. With a golden, bubbly crust and perfectly melted mozzarella, this pizza is a one-pan wonder that’s ready in minutes!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Start with a ball of prepared pizza dough (about 8 ounces). On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough into a circle that’s roughly the size of your frying pan, about 10 inches in diameter. If the dough shrinks back, let it rest for a few minutes and try again.
  2. Heat a large, non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and swirl to coat the pan evenly. Once the oil is shimmering, carefully lay the dough in the pan.
  3. Cook the dough for about 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown and crisp. Use a spatula to lift the edge and check. Once the bottom is golden, flip the dough over.
  4. Spread 1/4 cup of tomato sauce evenly over the cooked side of the dough. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, covering it evenly. If you like, add a pinch of dried oregano or fresh basil leaves for extra flavor.
  5. Reduce the heat to medium-low. Cover the pan with a lid to trap the heat and cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly. Check occasionally to ensure the bottom of the crust doesn’t burn.
  6. Once the cheese is melted and bubbly, remove the pan from the heat. Carefully slide the pizza onto a cutting board. Let it cool for a minute or two before slicing. Serve hot, and enjoy your delicious frying pan cheese pizza!
