These Salmon Tacos are a flavor fiesta in every bite! Grilled salmon, perfectly seasoned and flaked, meets a zesty lime crema, crunchy purple cabbage, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro, all wrapped up in a warm tortilla. It’s a gourmet twist on tacos that will make your taste buds dance!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup of sour cream, 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise, the juice of 1 lime, 1 teaspoon of lime zest, 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, and a pinch of salt. Stir until smooth and set aside in the refrigerator to chill.
  2. Pat dry 4 salmon fillets (about 4-5 oz each) with paper towels. In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, 1/2 teaspoon of cumin, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Rub this mixture over the salmon fillets to coat them evenly.
  3. Heat a grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the salmon fillets on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is opaque and easily flakes with a fork. Remove from the grill and let rest for a couple of minutes, then flake the salmon into bite-sized pieces.
  4. In a medium bowl, toss together 2 cups of thinly sliced purple cabbage, 1/4 cup of chopped fresh cilantro, and the juice of 1 lime. Add a pinch of salt and toss again. Set aside to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Warm 8 small corn tortillas one at a time for about 30 seconds on each side until they are soft and pliable. Keep them warm by wrapping them in a clean kitchen towel.
  6. To assemble, place a generous amount of flaked salmon on each tortilla, top with a handful of cabbage slaw, and drizzle with lime crema. Garnish with extra cilantro and a squeeze of lime if desired.
  7. Serve these salmon tacos immediately, accompanied by your favorite side like Mexican rice or a fresh avocado salad. Enjoy the burst of flavors and the satisfying crunch with every bite!
