Crisp romaine lettuce, crunchy croutons, and a rich, creamy Caesar dressing topped with shaved Parmesan—this Caesar Salad is the king of salads! It’s the perfect balance of fresh and savory, with a zesty kick that'll have you wondering why you ever bothered with any other salad.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 2 minced garlic cloves, and 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If the dressing is too thick, add a teaspoon of water at a time until you reach your desired consistency. Set aside.
  2. If you're feeling extra, make your own croutons! Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut 4 slices of day-old bread into cubes and toss with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, a pinch of salt, and a sprinkle of garlic powder. Spread the bread cubes on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  3. Chop 2 large romaine lettuce hearts into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large salad bowl. Add the croutons and drizzle the Caesar dressing over the salad. Toss everything together until the lettuce is well-coated with dressing.
  4. Divide the salad among four plates. Top with shaved Parmesan cheese and a few extra croutons for good measure. If you’re feeling fancy, add a few anchovy fillets on top for that classic Caesar kick! Serve immediately and enjoy the crunchy, creamy goodness.
